i realized today that it is a real effort for me to speak from an academic perspective, and that my mother is near-always speaking from such. it is her default. this probably explains why half the conversations about feminism we have end with me crying.

i didn’t think this gif related when i started writing but in a certain sense, it says clearer then i really can with words how my brain is never naturally in an objective impersonal state. that girl up there doesn’t take a step back in order to understand things, she embodies them in order to understand them, because how else would you do it? cold removed logic sucks, boooo.
