i got addicted to new girl yesterday and i hated how much i loved it but i told myself just because i like something she does doesn’t mean i have to like her

yes! i’ve started to like her now, too, for the reasons above but that was my exact thinking at first. ‘cause it’s actually a really funny show! and nothing is funny anymore, at least not in that way, you know? i can’t help it ahh.

this quote is the reason i started loving zooey too!!!! i mean i liked her before but this part like solidified my love for her. every feminist blogger seems to hate zooey and new girl, but this quote IS feminism! i actually squealed when she said it

!!! all of the above. and like, i spent that whole episode in my head thinking, tell her off! you don’t have to back down, call out the bullshit! because, exactly, i felt shitty along with her every time the other girl made some snide comment that basically equated cute & sweet with useless and dumb. and then she did and i squealed too!! and as i went back to copy it down for posting began saying it with her. you should try, it’s fun!

and, yes that quote is feminism, or at least, feminism isn’t feminism to me without that piece. you can’t have all the other bits and hold onto your internalized misogyny, nuh-uh.
